If you’re the administrator of a Facebook page, you may have noticed something new in your inbox this week.
Facebook began rolling out a new addition to their Facebook Insights this week. Page administrators began receiving emailed summaries of their page activity straight to their inbox. Although this move by Facebook has not been officially announced, the internet has been buzzing with talk about the new digests. Many people have been conveying pleasant surprise over receiving the updates and look forward to seeing more in the future.
While the emails are relatively short, they do provide some very useful information to help page administrators keep up on the activity on their page. The email updates provide the following information in an easy-to-read text format:
- The number of new fans to your page and the total number of fans you have
- The number of Wall Posts, Comments, and Likes you had this week and the tally from last week
- The number of visits to your page both this week and last
While these emails are still pretty simplistic in form, Facebook will be taking comments and suggestions on how to improve them in the weeks to come. Look forward to receiving more updates from Facebook about activity on your page.
