For a business, your twitter account represents you. So being into that activity, one must be very interesting to be effective in advertising or in generating sales. Some entrepreneurs uses Twitter for that purpose. They use page designs bearing professional twitter backgrounds or retro twitter backgrounds, depending upon the nature of the product or service they deal but many Twitter accounts used for business purposes uses the professional twitter background because it suits more kinds of business.

Donna, you touched on something that not too many people talk about and what you brought up is important and will make or break your twitter experience and if done wrong can even break your business.

I practice all these steps in my twitter profile and once you do it right, you’ll notice the amount of followers you get, the amount of RT’s and recommendations you get.

Twitter is a GOOD tool for branding, your always “live streaming” infront of your audience so it’s name repetition, and you want them to remember your name and your image, so it’s like first impression and you want to create a lasting impression.
